What Is Pacific Airshow® Gold Coast?

Pacific Airshow® Gold Coast is Australia's largest airshow, drawing more than 270,000 spectators to Surfers Paradise for a three-day, family-friendly spectacle of military and civilian aerobatics.[1] The 2026 event runs across the weekend of 14–16 August, with gates opening at 9am each day and flying displays typically running from around 10am to 3pm.[2] It's a full return for the event after 2025's show was cancelled due to Cyclone Alfred, and organisers, along with the Queensland Government and City of Gold Coast, expect this year's comeback to inject more than $32 million into the local economy.[3]

Held right on the sand opposite Cavill Avenue, the show features fighter jets, aerobatic legends, historic warbirds and military demonstration teams, alongside performer signing sessions, the new NXTGN STEM LAB, the Kids Zone, live commentary and beachside food and hospitality — including the new Garden Bar and Show Centre Zone.[2][4] It's four-plus hours of near-continuous action, over water, with nowhere else in Australia quite like it.[4]

How to Stay Sun Safe on Show Day

A few easy wins for anyone heading down to Surfers Paradise Beach this August:
